“A garden to walk in and immensity to dream in – what more could he ask? A few flowers at his feet and above him the stars”

Events in the garden
About our events
We aim for all our events to chime with our Garden4Good ethos. This informs not just the choice of events we put on, but also the way we approach them.
Our experience events are led by experienced facilitators who we know and trust, care is given to ensure that all events are as sustainable as possible; through the choices of materials we use in workshops, the origins of the food we serve and even the way we deal with waste.
And we make sure our events connect back somehow to nature and to the garden that has inspired us on this path.
National Garden Scheme Open Days
Each year, we open under the National Garden Scheme and generally welcome hundreds of visitors to the garden.
On NGS days, we open a pop-up tea-room selling delicious homemade lunches (to pre-order - please see our events page for details), cakes, scones and teas between 10am and 4pm (gluten free and vegan options are available). We also have a stall selling indoor and outdoor plants, home grown produce and preserves, local honey, fresh bread and our Breathe4Good wellbeing products
Our 2025 NGS day is on Sunday 1 June
Tickets, priced at £10 each (children free), are available from the National Garden Scheme website
Small group openings
We’re happy to be opening the garden again in 2025 to small groups, and have some limited capacity available for group visits remaining. Please contact us if you’d like to arrange a group visit this year, or sign up to be notified about group visits in 2026
Summer Open Afternoons
We’re hosting an open afternoon on Wednesday 28 May from 1.30pm-4.30pm. We invite guests to bring along a picnic or to plan a visit our kitchen tea room for tea and cake. Please click here to book in (via our sister site Breathe4Good). And if you can’t make the open afternoon, think about joining us for one of our events; scroll on to find out more

Experience events
We put together experience events throughout the year, using the garden as a base for events that stimulate, inspire and entertain
We update our events calendar regularly, so please do come back and see what we have going on - or sign up to our newsletter and you’ll receive information on our events a few times a year
