We’re making a brave foray into the world of gardening courses with a two day introduction to biodynamic gardening this August.
Biodynamic gardening is an inspirational global movement that promotes a uniquely holistic approach to organic gardening, food and health. With roots that are ecological, ethical, social and spiritual, the aim of this approach is to regenerate the health and vitality of our soils; restore the integrity of our food; and promote the health and wholeness of our communities. Sounds compelling, yes?
The course will be led by Hans-Gunther Kern, an internationally experienced biodynamic gardener, teacher and consultant, committed to coaching others to optimise their health and wellbeing through gardening, exercising and nutrition. Over the two days, we’ll learn about the principles of biodynamic gardening, optimising garden layout and design, selecting the crops most likely to thrive in our own gardens, companion planting, composting, the rhythms of nature, the planets and the stars and their impact on our approach to gardening and more.
Incorporating both theory and practical aspects, the course will take place in Quinton Old Rectory garden, an award winning 3 acre garden in Northamptonshire which incorporates areas for growing organic produce. You’ll enjoy delicious organic vegan lunches, seasonal herbal teas brewed from the garden and homemade cakes each afternoon. The course fee also includes all handouts, and subsequent access to Hans-Gunther’s international WhatsApp biodynamic community and free attendance at weekly online Q&A sessions for a year following the course.
We’re really excited to be able to offer this course and hope that you’ll want to join us. The course fee is £150 (on the basis we get at least 10 participants). To reserve your place or for more info please email us on hello@garden4good.co.uk
